Can a server computer act as a Desktop Pc?

A friend of mine told me a server computer could hypothetically be used as a PC. Is this possible and would it have any advantages over a normal desktop PC if it is?

A tower style server basically is a PC, just with beefed up hardware.

If you’re talking about a rackmount unit, it’s pretty much the same beefed up hardware, except it’s big, heavy, and loud.

You could use it for heavy data processing, but you wouldn’t be able to game on it for the lack of a video card (unless you added one).
