Can you use all t Mobile phones for their prepaid service?

If I buy a t mobile phone that is not one specificly for thier prepaid service and i buy one of the cards to add minutes on the phone, would i be able to do that or do i have to use the ones specificaly on the website that are under “Prepaid Phones“?

I have a blackberry Pearl 8300(I think) that I got free for going with T-mobile about 3 or 4 years ago. I was paying $25 per month for 60 minutes. I just changed over to ‘pay as U go’, and it works fine. They do use a different group that does the customer service for ‘pay as U go’, and they lied to me about not having to pay any taxes. The taxes were about $5 for $100. It is cheaper to buy them online than buying at Walmart. The other group that does pay as U go has terrible customer service so far. I am still trying to get the money straitened out. I paid $100 online for my first 100 minutes, but they credited it to my monthly account instead of my pay a U go account, but haven’t fixed it yet. I will get about twice as many minutes with pay as U go as when I was paying monthly.
